Chatuchak Market Opening Times
Chatuchak Market is the biggest weekend market in the World, however, it opens up selected parts of the market during the week for the general public. Here are the operating times of the market on a weekly basis:
Wednesday and Thursday 7am-6pm (Plant section only)
Many tourists are unaware that the market is open through the week but Wednesday and Thursday could be a good time to head there. The market only opens the plant section which means there is restricted access. If you are just wanting to have a look around the market, it is quieter than the weekend and there are still many deals to be had at the plant market.
Friday 6pm-12pm (Wholesale only)
Friday is a perfect time to go to Chatuchak Market if you are looking to avoid the heat. Much like Wednesday and Thursday, there is some restricted access to the whole market but you can find the best deals on Friday. Vendors will sell in bulk which means there are plenty of cheap items on sale!
Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm (Whole Market open)
200,000 people visit the market over the weekend and so should you. The market is fully open from 9am-6pm over the two days and there are over 15,000 stalls to search through. Get the most out of Chatuchak Market by visiting our tips and FAQ’s page.
